Steven Rea Philadelphia Inquirer I Think I Do gets a little too cute for its own good, but the cast is perky and diverting, and Sloan has a breezy way with dialogue. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Eleanor Ringel Cater Atlanta Journal-Constitution One question nagged me throughout the would-be comedy I Think I Do: Do the actors look bad because the writing is so lousy or does the writing seem lousy because the actors are so bad? Rated: D Apr 17, 2024 Full Review John Anderson Newsday To get where it’s going, I Think I Do has to leap cliched dialogue, a bloated sense of its own relevance and some serious misdirection Rated: 1.5/4 Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Gary Mark Morris Bay Area Reporter The dazzling dialogue one expects from screwball comedy never materializes... I Think I Do attempts a few half-hearted satirical swipes at subjects like weddings, politics, and soap' operas, but there’s little conviction here. Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Hazel-Dawn Dumpert L.A. Weekly It hovers somewhere between Friends and Four Weddings and a Funeral, and while not as fully realized as even those, the film has a freshness that mediates the strained plotting and forced conviviality for a perfectly tolerable 93 minutes. Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Todd Lothery News & Observer (Raleigh, NC) The ensemble cast sparkles (Arquette is particularly good), the dialogue is natural and the characters believable. We care about what's going to happen to these people. This is director Sloan's first feature and he paces it perfectly. Apr 17, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Nick S Not the most edgy or groundbreaking film, but, it isn't supposed to be. Just a feel good queer romantic comedy, great for when you're in the mood for a film that you can spend an hour and a half having a good laugh at. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/02/24 Full Review Audience Member A few good one liners - great if you've nothing better to watch Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I have watched this movie so many times. I really enjoy it. It does help that Christian Maelen is so pleasing on the eye. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Okay, it's a totally sappy rom-com - the kind Freddie Prinze Jr. used to churn out - only with a gay romance as the centerpiece, with a great supporting cast, many of whom have gone on to become beloved characters on pay cable series (yes, that's Guillermo from "Weeds" & Huck from "Scandal", Guillermo Díaz, only a little thinner, clean shaven much less moody and a LOT more goofy in a good way as Eric; and that's Captain LaGuerta from "Dexter", Lauren Velez, as beautiful and volatile as ever, but also hysterically funny as Carol, the bride trying to make it through her wedding with her feuding divorced parents both in attendance). When this came out 15 years ago, it was a niche comedy; but it not only holds up amazingly well for a light comic farce, in light of the dramatic shift in attitudes toward same-sex relationships, I think its ahead of its time. Plus there's a soundtrack that features some great old Partridge Family tunes. If you're looking for deep drama, this isn't the movie for you, but if you want a cute comedy that makes you feel a little less cynical about relationships, this is great fun. Plus Christian Maelen has the whole "sweet/sexy/brooding/conflicted/dreamboat" thing going on - I'd swear Freddie Prinze Jr. stole his act. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Weird, quirky, and charming. A bit unrealistic, but still funny. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member a group of friends go out to a friends wedding, where emotions, sexual feelings, come out, a interesting enough drama with some light relief, looking at a group of female friends, and a bunch of gay guys dealing with there friendship, shot low budget, with some interesting moments Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
