Now that I come to think of it, the whole melodrama, like [Kristine] Miller, is intolerably chic. Go to Full Review

Steve D 04/01/2024 Sometimes frustrating but good. See more @Blobbo 10/23/2022 Decent noir for fans of Kirk and Burt. See more william d @acsdoug 04/15/2022 Decent enough noir, would have been even better with an actress better than Lizabeth Scott. See more Luca D @JoeCamel7 12/02/2021 A stereotypical noir. That's not entirely a bad thing though. I really like how every character acts heartless at first but then begin to open up as the movie goes on. The soundtrack and cinematography is really good. The plot is not too deep which some people don't mind. Overall would recommend. See more 07/16/2015 very good suspenser and first pairing of Lancaster & Douglas See more 09/22/2012 "I Walk Alone" is an adequate film noir -- nothing too outstanding to make it worth remembering, but nothing so bad that it feels like a waste of time. Carefully plotted but blandly acted, "I Walk Alone" unravels in the same manner as most noirs, twisting and turning upon the actions of each character. Byron Haskin's direction is sufficient enough, but Lizabeth Scott underacts in most of her scenes and Burt Lancaster is either miscast or simply not believable. Kirk Douglas provides a deliciously snake-like performance, but even he cannot overshadow the bad acting of the film's leads. In the end, "I Walk Alone" isn't excellent cinema, but it works well for what it is. See more Read all reviews
