Roger Moore Movie Nation In the end, we’re left with the frustrating feeling that we still haven’t seen what this movie is and is about. Rated: 1.5/4 Dec 10, 2022 Full Review Christopher Lloyd The Film Yap The story of an upstanding sheriff who finds himself compromised by moonshiners, I Walk the Line is more interesting than good. Rated: 3.5 Nov 2, 2020 Full Review Tony Mastroianni Cleveland Press The movie says things about loneliness and desperation and being an outsider, but there are few apparent peaks and valleys in the presentation, only a flatness. Richard G. R Interesting little Neo-Noir. Strange seeing Gregory Peck in such a role. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/08/24 Full Review Steve D I found the entire thing uncomfortable. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 07/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Underrated gem that was a boxoffice and critical flop. It's not entirely satisfying but Peck gives a bold performance as a deceitful, unsympathetic character. It's a pity the film wasn't appreciated by critics or audiences. Tuesday Weld and Ralph Meeker are also excellent and the Johnny Cash soundtrack adds a good deal of atmosphere. An oddity for director John Frankenheimer. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review mike g Anything with Gregory Peck is worth your time. Add a dash of Johnny Cash soundtrack, the cute Tuesday Weld, a young Charles Durning and a story about infidelity with a nubile teen, Tennessee moonshine in 1970. Love these older obscure films that round out legendary actors careers. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review delysid d another great movie from gregory peck Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/29/21 Full Review michael t An unhappily married lawman falls in love with the beautiful and seductive daughter of a moonshiner. The moonshiners use his obsession to keep out of trouble and Peck's character is tortured by his inability to do his job. It's a strange setup, but the performances are good. Somehow the the whole thing comes off as vaguely unsatisfying in the end. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
