Cuori R I Want to Eat Your Pancreas is a profoundly moving and underrated film, often overshadowed by bigger anime films, that delivers a beautiful story imbued with meaningful morals and emotional resonance. It is, without hesitation, my second favorite anime film to date. While the narrative and thematic elements are nearly flawless, the animation quality does not quite meet the standards expected of a theatrical release. But that is just my opinion. The music score complements the film decently, enhancing its emotional depth, but it could have been better. The overall visual presentation feels somewhat restrained compared to what the story merits. In my view, had the animation matched the film’s emotional intensity, akin to the exceptional, near-cinematic quality seen in Your Lie in April or A Silent Voice, the overall impact would have been even more profound. The disparity between the story’s strength and the animation quality somewhat limits the film’s potential, though it remains a powerful and unforgettable experience. Overall, I Want to Eat Your Pancreas stands as a poignant and significant work that deserves greater recognition within the anime film landscape. 8.9/10 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 06/27/25 Full Review Martin A Beautiful roller coaster of emotions. i want to keep on crying, but im out of tears. i love and hate this movie as the same time Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/27/25 Full Review Hodan A It was sad I was sobbing all night Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/08/25 Full Review Eddy S This movie was incredibly boring.
