Aurora E i personally thought this was a really nice way for Alana to have HER voice and yes the acting was a lil off but its a Lifetime Movie , not a big Hollywood production . I will say my family watches the show still so id say we enjoyed it , so if you grew up watching toddlers and Tiaras and then Here comes Honey boo boo you will def enjoy this ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/19/25 Full Review Gemma L The acting is so painfully bad it’s almost impressive, cartoonish accents, dramatic pauses that lead nowhere, and Alana awkwardly narrating like she’s reading a 6th-grade book report. It was weird to see her pop in and out in between scenes of the movie. And don’t worry about spoilers there aren’t any. Literally everything in the movie has already aired on the show, just with worse performances. It’s like Lifetime dared themselves to make something even more ridiculous than their usual lineup. The cherry on top? Completely skipping over Anna’s cancer battle and death. Because why show the one part of the family’s story with actual emotional weight when you can keep it light and fake for ratings? I would have been interested to see how Alana and the rest of the family dealt with real emotions behind the scenes. This movie is a masterclass in how to turn a tragic, complicated real-life story into shallow, tone-deaf fluff. Highly recommend if you’re into emotional whiplash and secondhand embarrassment. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/19/25 Full Review Audience Member The dramatization is bad, I mean its a lifetime movie so that's to be expected, but the fact that Alana had random cut ins about what is happening (which were very obviously scripted) made the movie very awkward, confusing, and overall awful. I would've preferred to watch an actual thoughtful documentary about what happened to this poor girl. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/18/25 Full Review Read all reviews
