Clint Worthington RogerEbert.com For being an ostensible sequel, “Ice Road: Vengeance” features zero ice roads. In fact, writer-director Jonathan Hensleigh’s follow-up barely stands apart from any of the other baker’s dozen punch-em-ups Neeson has led in the last decade. Rated: 1.5/4 Jul 5, 2025 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Destined to be quickly forgotten even by fans of its predecessor, Ice Road: Vengeance proves as generic as its title. Jun 26, 2025 Full Review Christian Zilko IndieWire The film’s existence seems to rely on a bet that someone out there was dying to see a few more minutes of Gurty flashbacks. If that’s you, you’re in for a great weekend at the movies. Rated: C Jun 26, 2025 Full Review JK Sooja Common Sense Media A fair amount of Ice Road: Vengeance feels like it came out of an AI brain, including the horrible title. Rated: 2/5 Sep 29, 2025 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a woefully erratic actioner that squanders its assortment of positive attributes. Rated: 2/4 Sep 23, 2025 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …defies common sense or credulity...the people of Nepal deserve something better than barely appearing in a film set in their own country, and tough-watch Ice Road: Vengeance’s complete lack of ice roads makes it one for the trades descriptions act…. Friendly R Other reviewers have pointed out the problems with this movie, but I'll just mention one additional issue. The American girl whose dad is murdered by the baddies early on doesn't seem sad or bothered about that, when most kids would be devastated. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/01/25 Full Review Ronald H Two hours of high budget nonsense. Embarrassing, actually cringeworthy. We've come to expect this kind of thing from Liam Neeson, who is undoubtedly laughing all the way to the bank. But this is even dumber than usual. Nevertheless, it will probably please action fans, who aren't concerned with intelligent plotting and believable characters. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/30/25 Full Review anil b I love Liam. But this is a disaster from the beginning. Mainly due to lack of due diligence even though it's a work of fiction. When the pilot announces they're landing in Kathmandu and Mt. EVEREST is visible, they show the wrong mountain , FISHTAIL which is 200km west of Kathmandu. Most actors portraying Nepali people and especially the 2 policemen speak in tongue that's really absurd, it's no where near how we speak, and at time they speak Hindi!!! Most Nepali character names sound more Inidan than Nepali. Rai are people from Eastern Nepal. The 2 actors portraying Mr. Rai and his son don't look the part at all amd speak Hindi when when meet high up in the mountains in one scene. That's insensitive to the eastern Nepali spirit. When Liam gets on the bus in Kathmandu the Australian bus driver driving a local bus is far fetched but acceptable to some degree but why? There are so many other errors, they could have just screened it to a hand full of Nepalis in Australia ( where there are plenty) and gotten some of the fact right! What a waste of budget even though it's looks like it was almost entirely an AI generated film. Sorry Liam, I'll still watch all your films but this was cringe worthy. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/30/25 Full Review Miki L Wasting my time, ruined my night Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/30/25 Full Review Ray C A cheap and unnecessary sequel. Ice Road: Vengeance suffers from dull action and lazy writing. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/30/25 Full Review Hughe J Ice Road Vengeance is the sequel to the wildly ignored Ice Road movie starring Liam Neeson. In this sequel we get no ice roads, in the movie titled Ice Road, and no big trucks driving on roads that are icy. Instead we get a bus full of people we don't care about driving to Mt. Everest so Liam can scatter his brother's ashes on the mountain. Of course on the way the bus is hijacked by some baddies who want to kill some village's elders so they can build a dam, in the mountains, or whatever. Liam does his thing and kills a bunch of people while making snarky comments and at one point cleaning his brother's ashes off a toilet. I hope whoever greenlit this travesty was fired because this movie was just awful. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/29/25 Full Review Read all reviews
