User N I thought this movie was very good. The cast did an excellent job. Maiara Walsh (who played the lead role) did a great job. She was so convincing, so detailed, she was wonderful to watch. The film is about a 31 year old woman called Vicky Patterson (Walsh). Vicky was desperate to be a Cheerleader in High School just like her mother was, but she was shy, and was badly bullied by her classmates, especially the Cheerleaders. Her mother was abusive and her father abandoned the family. The bullying and humiliation led to Vicky dropping out of High School. 14 years later Vicky works at an Outlet store, lives in a miserable apartment with her lousy, unemployed, boyfriend Darren who is addicted to gambling. Vicky's mother, a successful Lawyer, still belittles her daughter endlessly. Vicky is given money as a birthday present by her mother when she turns 31. Vicky plans to go to night school, but soon finds Darren used it to buy a Computer so he can gamble online. With the money gone, Vicky can't go to night school. Vicky is then fired from her job after her boss has to do lay-offs. Caitlyn Sparks, a young girl who has recently dropped out of High School and works at the Outlet store with Vicky, drops her I.D card. This gives Vicky an idea. She will return to High School posing as Caitlyn and: make the Cheerleading Squad, become popular and get her High School diploma. The movie was wonderful. Vicky is the Antagonist, but she will surely melt your hearts and get sympathy from you. Vicky is mentally unstable, she might have Bipolar. I say this because this film is based on a woman who suffered from mental health issues including Bipolar disorder. Wendy Brown, who was bullied both at school and at home by her classmates and mother respectively, dropped out of school due to the bullying she suffered, which increased after Wendy got pregnant with her boyfriend, who broke up with her when he found out she was pregnant with his baby (but not before gloating to his classmates and defaming Wendy as a whore). Wendy later posed as a high school student in the name of her daughter (who lived with Wendy's parents). Both the real case and the movie loosely based on it are interesting, exciting to read and watch about and you will likely feel sympathy for both Wendy Brown (the person Vicky is based on) and Vicky. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Honestly, for a lifetime movie, it's phenomenal. It was great fun to see an unhinged woman getting shit done in the main role :) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
