Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald Bronstein puts you on an unnerving and slightly mystifying rollercoaster ride which has you gasping for air, but she has certainly served Byrne well. It’s the role of a lifetime and Byrne embraces it with everything she’s got. Rated: 3.5/5 Nov 14, 2025 Full Review Christy Lemire FilmWeek (LAist) It's kind of excruciating but also has a great deal of humanity. Nov 11, 2025 Full Review Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (LAist) Conan O'Brien is so good in this movie. Nov 11, 2025 Full Review Cris Kennedy Inner East Review The laughs, and I did laugh a bunch, are the hysterical laughs that come with complete exhaustion and desperation. Nov 13, 2025 Full Review Jim Schembri jimschembri.com The superbly serrated performance from Rose Byrne anchors a barbed, stress-saturated portrait of a suburban mother who is being stretched in all directions. Rated: 4/5 Nov 13, 2025 Full Review Leigh Paatsch Daily Telegraph (Australia) Though the movie itself is an acquired taste to say the least, there are elements to Byrne’s intense performance that suggests there will be a number of major dramatic roles heading her way in years to come. Robyn K Rose Byrne is a wonderful actress and she did a wonderful job with this role. However, the movie itself was difficult to watch and thoroughly un-enjoyable. It was two hours of a Hellish deep dive into people's psychological suffering, the focus being on Byrne's character. The suffering and frustration is real and a depiction of how many suffer similarly in today's world. But it's definitely not a "must-see" unless you want to be reminded of how harrowing circumstances challenge so many of us and in so many different ways. Where they got the title, I don't know, as everybody had legs...except for this film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/12/25 Full Review Mr. Hollywood Was a decent movie about how life can be. About depression and everything we put on ourselves. Couldve used less metaphors but overall was good. Greta performance by Rose. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/06/25 Full Review Mich13 Dont recommend. Couldnt wait for it to be over . Very depressing , chopped up movie . Was saying WTF ??? If you want to be more anxious go see. Hearing how Conan OBrien had to do experiments on rats was nauseating! And that poor hamster! Not seeing daughter till the end of the movie. Im a Nurse - so no - that gastrotube could never be that long . Maybe 6-8 inches ! & its secured with a balloon you have to deflate to remove . Should have researched with medical expert . Did not enjoy at all. Read the other reviews. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/05/25 Full Review Anna B What in the heck did i just watch. 100% trash, waste of my precious time movie. I wouldn't even watch it for free at home if I had nothing else to watch. I'd have rather stared at a wall for 2 hours. Do NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I am so mad they even put this movie out onto the large screen for regular people to spend their hard earned money on. If the critics like it, just make it for the critics and leave us regular people out of this mess. Ugh. I want my 30 & Sunday evening back Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/03/25 Full Review Kelanmon A disturbing and inventive tale of the overwhelming stresses of motherhood. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/02/25 Full Review 317 W One of the worst movies I have seen in years :( Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/02/25 Full Review Read all reviews
