Kimberley Jones Austin Chronicle To call the acting amateurish does a disservice to hard-working amateurs everywhere. Rated: 0.5/5 Oct 25, 2013 Full Review Scott Foundas Variety Even having God on the production team can't save this 'Church Girl' from its heavy-handed sermonizing. Oct 21, 2013 Full Review Steven Boone RogerEbert.com For myself and most folks expecting a movie, it is too transparent an infomercial for the church to move the mountain. Rated: 2/4 Oct 21, 2013 Full Review Justin Brown Medium Popcorn Ja Rule is not a good leading man. But he's better than some of the other actors in this film. This was not an enjoyable experience. Rated: 1/5 Jul 19, 2021 Full Review Brandon Collins Medium Popcorn This was out of control. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. It's hard to even describe what happened in this "film". Rated: 1/5 Jul 19, 2021 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Truly testifies that it's never too late to change. Rated: 3.0/4.0 Sep 11, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Perhaps you will appreciate it more by not knowing the title & watching any trailer. Better than some lousy drama or silly ones out there. It ain't aiming too high in convert anyone but it sure strengthens some. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I know it's based on a true story, but the inaccuracies are dishonest and only made it worse. The writing is bad. The writer should have hired someone who actually knows how to write a screenplay. The biggest inaccuracy is with the main character's trouble with the DEA. In real life, the guy goes to jail. In the movie he does not. The plot with the DEA goes no where. On top of that, it was changed to push bad theology. Sorry, but it's a poorly written film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Oh good grief. Not even some nice cars, a Baldwin or a feel good plot can save this monstrosity. The acting, the hilarious paint by numbers script, the corny score. Just dreadful! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/08/20 Full Review Audience Member Hysterically ambiguous! Ja Rule plays a "drug dealer" that sells "drugs." What kind of drugs? "All kinds!" Ja will tell you! Unbelievably dumb film. I enjoyed every unsubtle minute of it! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member yes, absolutely incredible!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice concept, but, didn't quite deliver as some parts were not really believable in the story Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
