Nell Minow Movie Mom Lovely performances elevate this predictable drama. Rated: 3/5 Nov 24, 2002 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times I cared for all of the characters, I was moved by the writing and acting of some of the key scenes, and yet the movie as a whole failed to really reach me. Rated: 2/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Rene Jordan El Nuevo Herald (Miami) A film in which life presents pennies of happiness but set to loan shark prices. [Full review in Spanish] Jul 11, 2022 Full Review Bruce C. Steele OutWeek Their willful exploitation of a young woman in financial straits struck me as pathetic, particularly since the Masterson character is as full of life and passion as the yuppie couple is empty. May 20, 2020 Full Review Kathi Maio Sojourner This is a movie that means to be serious and compassionate. And it is, in a way. It is also one of the most dangerously elitist films about parenting that I've seen in a long time. Steve D I found it all really uncomfortable. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Couple who cannot conceive a child hope to adopt a baby from a pregnant teen. This drama is over the top tearjerking at its best. This could've easily been a Lifetime movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Love this movie. Simple, raw and real...four great actors are what really pull this film together. One of my most quoted lines from this movie is, "Only one of us gets be crazy at a time." Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member ***Due to the recent RT changes that have basically ruined my past reviews, I am mostly only giving a rating rather than a full review.*** Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Una pareja sin hijos (James Woods y Glenn Close), desean adoptar el hijo de una pareja adolescente (Mary Stuart Masterson y Kevin Dillon). Actores de primera categoria atrapados en un drama tipo "Hallmark" que provoca nauseas no debidas al embarazo sino a lo embarazoso de la trama.
