Blind pianist Sofia overhears a struggle in the apartment on the floor above her, and it leads to the death of her neighbor Veronique. It is the start of a journey that pulls Sofia out of her depth and brings her into contact with Veronique's father, Milos Radic, a Serbian businessman accused of being a war criminal. Some not quite understandable parts derail the narrative of this thriller. For example, Alexandra Gordon seems to be working for Radic, or is she... ? She gives her brother the assignment to kill Radic's daughter and a witness (which he does not) but later it turns out that she wants to sell him (Radic) out. Whom is she in league with then ? The Russians want to get at Radic, but why ? Were they not the ones supporting him in the Bosnian war ?? Radic is obviously an acronym for Radko Mladic, so automatically the viewer will compare the fictional narrative to the real story..... and Marc who is obviously well trained and superfast, accidentally walks into a shard of glass wielded by Sofia (Natalie), or is it Radic doing that ? Too fast to follow, perhaps on purpose, but not super gratifying. Nor is the grabbing of Sofia by a Russian Crew which is hired by Alex logical for the narrative in any way.. Natalie Dormer is great at playing a blind woman. I can hardly grasp how it must be to not to follow your fellow actors and movement around you but keep staring, unseeing, when as a seeing person you have to play to be blind. OR did she wear contact lenses blocking her view ? Something like that must be helpful. On the other hand, then you can really not see so you'll have to learn to really navigate blindly (even with director's instructions in your ear). Well, in both cases it's a great achivement.

Once it was over I liked this film. But while viewing it, I always felt a scene behind in the quickly moving plot. Names were so foreign to me that it was difficult to figure who is who.

My favorite genre. Very well done. Well paced, acted and scripted from start to finish. Can't say much more without ruining the plot. Myst watch for yourself.
