Mark B Not a great movie the 1st half is pretty poorly acted, however the second half resurrects the movie and evens it out to be ok over all. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/02/24 Full Review Norman W Terribly done WW2 submarine film. Poor acting, ridiculous script, and an unbelievable plot. If the author had watched even a mediocre WW2 submarine film he would have done a better job. Don't waste your time on this turkey. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/29/23 Full Review adam b Was not a fan. Everyone in front of the camera was great; the people behind the camera; not so much Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow - as a big fan of submarine stories, I have to torpedo this one. Poor production design, like onboard compartments the size of a motel room. Check out the instrument gauge at 1:20 with a label made with a Dymo label maker - invented in 1958. To fill time they threw in every WWII Hollywood tear-jerking cliché known to mankind. A sad waste of Mr. Macy's excellent talents. I guess we all need a payday once in awhile. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member An absolue abomination. The fact that something like this could be made.. and then positively reviewed is proof positive that the end is near for mankind. Dreadful everything. Horribly implausible. Terribly written and directed. Satanically bad special effects and sets. Somebody who knew absolute ZIPPO about WWII submarine operations wrote this POS. I cannot overstate how abysmal this film is. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Why can't pretty boy actors who play military men cut their hair to at least try to look like military men?!?!?
