At some point, In the Shadow of the Moon just goes down a wormhole of politics and elaborate theories. It's not fun to watch, and when we finally get the big reveal of why the killer did what she did we don't care.

This movie is terrible. The story is contrived, full of illogic choices and even more illogic explanations. The characters are so shallow they become soon irritating. The photography is flat and the camera work average. The final reveal is so preposterous i had to watch it again to make sure i had not missed the super-clever bit. I hadn't. Lazy writing at its worse. I should have stopped watching it half way through. But movies this bass deserve to be watched to the end.

Really well-thread time-travel story (I believe the 1st scene already hints at that - so not a spoiler). It has a definite emotional touch and an undeniable message, though not necessarily as much a focus as keeping the plot "believeable", of making sure you do live every moment fully and value family. A lot of "what ifs", but that's normal in this kind of movie. And do the ends justify the means?

honestly i re-watch this movie all the time its so good. the plot is great and it really gets you thinking about society and how to prevent history from repeating itself. its not boring at all, its not one of those movies that take forever for the plot to get good.... its great from the beginning. Besides some corny writing and mediocre acting, its overall one of my favourite movies which is surprising for a netflix film.

I think time travel movies are always tough to do; but I did like this one. The acting and stunts are great. This film doesn't get too bogged down in the logistics of how it works. It is more about the continuum of love, strength, and our place in history. All in all, I think it is worth a watch......two, actually.
