Meagan Navarro Bloody Disgusting The horror familiarity and inconsistent logic choices work against a creative approach to the found footage format, though it's anchored by solid performances and a memorable conclusion. Rated: 2.5/5 Jul 12, 2022 Full Review Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com Incantation is a brilliant horror movie, one that will leave you feeling a little lost and a lot traumatised in the end. Rated: 5/5 Jul 29, 2024 Full Review Grant Watson Fiction Machine This is far and away the best horror feature in what has been an excellent year. Incantation is awesome, but I don’t want to tell you why, because that would wreck some of the malign pleasures lurking within. Oct 28, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Well...definitely go and watch this movie if you really want to be haunted and want things to be repeated inside your mind and haunted. I just love this Movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/20/25 Full Review Michael P Found footage is a genre that naturally lends itself to horror, particularly through its first-person point of view, but executing it effectively is a significant challenge, as this film demonstrates. While there are some notable jump-scare moments, the plot is too disjointed to sustain a consistent sense of fear. However, the film deserves credit for its atmosphere—particularly the well-crafted scenery, which plays a crucial role in generating the unsettling moments, accounting for 99% of the film's fear factor. Additionally, I appreciated the brief but effective use of audience involvement, where the protagonist's instructions and the visual elements engage the viewer in the rituals. Unfortunately, the film is undermined by characters making implausibly poor decisions, which disconnects the audience from the story. Despite a strong premise and exceptional set design, Incantation ultimately fails to create the disturbing atmosphere that horror fans crave. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/14/25 Full Review Chris H This is hard work and, ultimately, I'm not sure it's quite worth the effort. There's a great idea in here but the execution drags. The non-linear telling of the story is fine, but there's a silly mistake in the dialogue (which I hope is not in the original Taiwanese) which upsets the timeline and reduces your involvement. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/21/25 Full Review thy a a little slow but when it’s scary ITS SCARY Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/25 Full Review Arka N Very slow movie. We had no clue what was happening in many areas.
