Robert H @Rwhobbs198 Jul 14 Incoming (2024) is an unapologetically over-the-top teen comedy that knows exactly what it wants to be. Following a group of freshmen navigating the chaos of high school, the film leans heavily into outrageous party scenes, slapstick humor, and exaggerated situations that never pretend to be realistic. If you go in expecting a grounded coming-of-age story, you'll probably be disappointed. But if you're looking for the kind of crude, goofy comedy that was everywhere in the 2000s, Incoming is a pleasant surprise. I honestly laughed a lot and found it refreshing to see this style of comedy make a return after feeling absent for so many years. It may not have won over most critics, but it definitely won me over. Silly, outrageous, and surprisingly entertaining, it's a fun throwback that's worth a watch if you enjoy this brand of humor.
