Spielberg directs this movie like there's no tomorrow, and Ford is perfect as always, but in hindsight, "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" doesn't come close to being as satisfying as the first or third installments. Full review in Spanish.

A dismal sequel to the utterly wonderful 'Raiders of the Lost Ark'. From the musical number beginning, it's a hodge podge of a film, lacking the brilliantly executed segues between scenes of high drama and more expository sequences that made the first so memorable. My main point of concern was the character of Willie, deeply annoying and frankly unwatchable. I then found out the actress playing her is Mrs Spielberg. Nepotism doth not make good art, Steven, sorry. Further points of concern were the ludicrous escape from the propeller plane (yeah, right) and the incredibly patronising scenes at the dinner in the Pankot Palace where successive grim delicacies are served up to the disgust of Willie. I actually stopped watching it well before the end as I'd just had enough. I've read reviews by people that absolutely love the film, something I find incomprehensible.
