winston w Spoiler alert - Movie about a drug dealing family by people who obviously have no idea how people who deal drugs operate. Characters who supposedly have been part of the drug trade for a long time act like they started the day before and have wild swings between being cold blooded killers and pools of emotional goo in the course of a few days. The catalyst being an OD of a random person after supposedly dealing for years comes off as ridiculous, as does the betrayal of one of the family in a ridiculous way, for no reason other than for shock value I guess. This would have been embarrassing as an afternoon special. Moral of the story - Drugs are bad. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Living in an area much like the one depicted in the movie, I truly appreciated the Director's attention to detail and his sensitivity to all the characters. Great performances and plot twists are delivered believably, and with respect to the characters. This film flows beautifully over strong undercurrents of family loyalty, heartache, and hope for a different future as opposed to the usual schlock and grit. It was well worth my time watching it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member They should had name the title Survival Of The Fittest! A ok movie but it doesn't provide much else story wise. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Love it There's a LOT of tension, and the way they addressed the family issues+the family "business" was so touching Great cast too, perfect soundtrack, great characters developments. Just love it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I found the acting was really good quality in this film. However the story line was boring and I don't know why they bothered to make this film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Movie had the makings of an excellent series....the character development was too stunted by time to create much of an effect Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/01/20 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Christy Lemire FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It has a really vivid sense of place, but I wish they had fleshed it out more because it has a story that needs to be told. That's not so bad for a movie with this crummy a title. Rated: 2.5/5.0 Jan 17, 2020 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Never had much of a sting.
