This film, which is adapted from the best selling comic and video game franchise of the same name, follows the aftermath of Jokers devious plan. In which he tricks Superman into unknowingly killing his pregnant wife and blowing up Metropolis. Due to this tragic incident, the Man of Steel transforms Earth into a police state, where he enforces his vision of world peace and is willing to resort to any means necessary to achieve it, but when his actions cross a line Batman and his regime must stop him and his allys before his tyranny destroys the world that they have sworn to protect. Overall, due to iconic moments from its source material, a phenomenal voice cast, and epic clashes, this movie was a mostly enjoyable experience, and even though it is very rushed, it manages to remain cohesive and still tell a fairly coherent story. It is important to add that this feature is nowhere near as good as the game or graphic novel , but it does provide a gateway into the lore for newcomers and serves as a kind of highlight reel for veterans of the series. A glaring issue with this however is that it removes many of the important characters and story beats that made the universe so popular and engaging to fans in the first place, and feels unfinished.

I was really looking forward to this, but the pacing is awful, there's a three year gap that they address poorly, and if you read the comics and played the game, like me, you will be heavily disappointed. And all the deaths in this we bad too. Characters just showed up and then died.

While it has a few flaws and perhaps some odd choices, it gives an original experience and has some exquisite Batman, Joker, and even Superman scenarios. An absolute thrill, and I quiver for the sequel.
