Mike S Almost impossibly well crafted film. The writer and director created a new story set during the events of the first film that somehow still felt fresh and new, without contradicting the first story. Even while needing to fit into the existing story points, it somehow told a better story, and is overall a much better film. Amazing work. But what do I really know — when I used to watch them as a teenager, I couldn’t see any deeper meaning. The older I get, the more selective I become. The more I grow tired of wild, otherworldly special effects, the more I start to appreciate this kind of cinema. At some point, memories from the past start to come back — memories of friends who once lived that kind of life, and the stories you’d hear about shady deals and illegal schemes. Now I find myself wondering: what was going through their heads? What drove them to do it — fame, recognition, money? Maybe all of it… or maybe just a search for peace, a peace they tried to achieve at the cost of others. I’m no film critic, but this movie truly touched my soul. It struck a chord with my own temptations — the desire for quick money, and the fears that come with it. It portrayed a man who wanted everything, only to find peace at the very end. That final scene says it all. Congratulations to the Polish actors — my sincere respect. It’s not easy to embody a character addicted not only to drugs and violence but also to ambition itself. Yet I feel this casting was a perfect hit — not just for the lead actor, but for the entire gang. Well done, ladies and gentlemen. And the music… pure madness — in the best way Part of me wants to say I’d love to see a sequel — but could you really meet the high bar you’ve set? Highly recommended.
