Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …a very original film that substitutes the most complex of plotting for action, and leads to a final, downbeat twist that takes some beating… Rated: 3/5 Aug 11, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

laurie s It's quite a clever plot but no one had and redeeming qualities, in fact judging by the amount of whisky consumed they appear to be alcoholics. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member another 70's action/thriller with a weird name like 'the parallax view' Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Intelligent seventies' thriller--Tying up loose ends. Permanently!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member his engrossing and smart thriller starring James Coburn is a perfect example of the type of film that was made during the Watergate era. In one of Coburn's most underrated roles he plays a U.S. diplomat involved in a complex plot to knock off 4 different people in one night. This film has zero action and mostly takes place in a few rooms but the tension and suspense are fever pitched and Coburn proves how good of an actor he was by keeping the audience's attention throughout. If this was made with a lesser actor it would have been a boring film but with Coburn and director Ken Hughes deft touch The Internecine Project is one of the better 70s thrillers, it is a shame it isn't more well known. The film was released on DVD by Scorpion Releasing early this year, with a decent anamorphic print and some quality extras, the DVD is worth getting. The Internecine Project is not for everyone, but if you are in the mood for a superb thriller with a top notch performance by James Coburn then definitely seek it out. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Good spy thriller with an excellent plot, Coburn holds up well as the agent while the supporting cast do an acceptable job. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting 70's espionage movie with Coburn orchestrating the deaths of his informants and go-betweens prior to his appointment to an important government posting. The film could have done with a little more action, and the romantic sub-plot seems superfluous, but it does have an unexpected ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
