Edward Guthmann San Francisco Chronicle Mixing nostalgia and irony, Fellini's reverie has a sad undercurrent -- as if he didn't have the energy to do something more ambitious. Rated: 3/4 Jan 11, 2023 Full Review Stanley Kauffmann The New Republic Fellini, distant from the theater yet clearly fascinated by its unique properties, has blended them into his ultracinematic style...in Intervista he is the center, amiable yet enjoying his performance. Jan 5, 2018 Full Review Glenn Abel The Hollywood Reporter Federico Fellini broke through all the walls he could find in 1987's delightfully jumbled Intervista. The maestro created a film about a film about a film. May 1, 2005 Full Review Brian Susbielles InSession Film Poetry, memory, and majestic touch... Mar 2, 2023 Full Review Cole Smithey ColeSmithey.com Rated: 4/5 Apr 1, 2008 Full Review TV Guide An enjoyable, lightweight entertainment, filled with the usual Felliniesque characters, faces, and situations. Rated: 3/4 Aug 29, 2006 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A meta look at Fellini's career is a delightful trip through the Italian studios and breaks down the fourth wall a lot. Not as strong as a lot of his movies but is good for a director very late in his career. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Strange, but warmhearted reminiscence of days gone by in the life and career of Federico Fellini. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member My first Fellini was really disappointing, Maybe it wasn't a good choice to watch this before his other movies Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Pure fascination! All Fellini's lovely fixations get together. It's more like a documentary rather than a film. Bunch of likable misfits hanging out for no apparent reason, but Fellini's presence addresses them to happiness and nostalgia. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I haven't seen other Fellini's works (gasp!) but I love the chaos and randomness in this. Can't stop laughing throughout the film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member (** 1/2): Thumbs Down I liked some moments but this is not as good as many of Fellini's other works.
