Jennie Kermode Eye for Film With excellent, carefully balanced performances all round and great chemistry within the group, Intimate Strangers is a real pleasure to watch. Rated: 4.5/5 Nov 12, 2020 Full Review William Schwartz HanCinema Sometimes the mockery is gentle, other times farcical, and other times it feels like the universe is playing a horrific joke that only seems funny to us because we know the situation isn't as bad as it looks. Aug 20, 2019 Full Review Min-sik Yoon Korea Herald It is a well-acted and funny film, up until the moment when it slapped me in the face with the mother of all letdowns. Jan 9, 2019 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru A wildly entertaining, intriguing and suspenseful social commentary. I have not seen the original (but would like to.) I loved "Intimate Strangers." The change in the ambiance between the beginning which was about childhood friends getting together as adults for dinner, and the joy of this reunion, vs. the 2nd half of the film where the pain of secrets revealed will be difficult to heal, some more than others. Brilliantly done, and cast. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
