Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times Writer-director Keating knows how to deliver the goods in lean fashion, with “Invader” clocking in at just 70 minutes and ending on a fantastically creepy note of utter dread. Rated: 3/4 Nov 13, 2024 Full Review Richard Whittaker Austin Chronicle At a raw and rare 70 minutes, Invader is Keating challenging himself to deliver the leanest, sparest home invasion imaginable. Rated: 3/5 Nov 13, 2024 Full Review Joel Harley Starburst Running at a brisk 70 minutes, Invader burns hot and fast, staying just long enough to kick the doors in and trash the joint. Rated: 4/5 Aug 26, 2024 Full Review Michael Gingold Rue Morgue Magazine The sustained shaky-cam will likely make INVADER divisive–and so will the way Keating chooses to end the movie—but to this viewer, the gambit works to keep us consistently on edge. Madelyn C It did an excellent job of setting up tension and creating a very uncomfortable and unsettling atmosphere during the first half. I was on the edge of my seat, but at some point during the final act it started to go off the rails a bit. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews
