Lion F The difference between reality and the game, in one you are weak, bullied and treated badly, in the other you are strong and can do what you want. The story is about a boy (Elias) who is bullied by his classmates in reality. He spends his time in an online game where he plays together with a girl named Scarlet. She suggests that they meet in real life (IRL). In real life, Elias is constantly running away from his problems until he and Scarlet come up with a plan to take revenge on his fellow students, which backfires. It remains unclear to me whether Scarlet was only an imagination or whether she really existed till the last scene, but the whole time she was something like his guardian angel. The film shows in a not unrealistic way what can happen when bullying goes too far and what could happen if the person does seek help. Mobbing is still a far too common topic that is hushed up by most people. Victims rarely open up to others, and it often ends in suicide or running amok. It should be talked about much more in schools and the consequences should be explained. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/30/21 Full Review Read all reviews
