Simon Foster sbs.com.au What makes this film utterly absorbing are the logistics of the tour itself - as the poster states, "50,000 miles, 5 continents; 23 concerts in 45 days". Mar 9, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

William F I am a die hard maiden fan. I own eddies archive, all alblums (exept blaze bayleys) Good film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review Audience Member Very cool documentary. Not a fan of this kind of music but I love 'behind the scenes' kind of documentaries. Sick plane by the way and all the band seem so nice!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This film is fantastic. Not only for the die hard followers of Iron Maiden but for any fan of heavy metal and rock music. Not only does this movie showcase Iron Maiden's world tour but also shows the fans and how the music has affected their lives in such a positive way. Especially when Maiden hits spots like Brazil where an ocean of people come out to see them and some are moved to tears as they sing every single word to every single song. It actually gave me chills as I watched it. Sometimes you do not know the effect that music has on somebody. Amazing film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Say what you will about their music - the gents in Iron Maiden are a set of extraordinarily inspiring people. At 50+ they're still touring, in some measure because of a sense of duty towards their own legend, but chiefly because life is at its best when you're having fun following your vocation. Iron Maiden is a motley crew: Smith the perfectionist, Murray the tranquil sage, Dickinson the indefatigable entrepreneur, Gers the serene comedian, McBrain the social genius and Harris the musical thinker. These fellows comprise a microcosm of how people in joyful but dedicated cooperation may achieve something great, something almost religious. The interviews with the fans are a touching example; people who live in misery quit their jobs to travel to Iron Maiden's concerts and experience the excitement of life. This is where even clichés make sense: seldom was so much owed by so many to so few. The documentary is especially intense and apt during its first half where we get to know both the band members and the effect they have on their audience. Then the film dwindles a bit (maybe it's 30 minutes too long?), but provides a tremendous finale. Thanks to professional editing this is the closest we'll get to being there without being there. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Unique experience, both on film and live! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought it would be much better...oh well. Not bad, though. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews
