Critics Consensus

It isn't quite the breath of fresh air that Iron Man was, but this sequel comes close with solid performances and an action-packed plot.

Deborah Ross The Spectator If there were any new ideas, I failed to spot them, as did my bone marrow, which slept through most of it anyhow. Aug 30, 2018 Full Review Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online I don't think the story was nearly as strong as that of The Dark Knight, but it sure was entertaining and surprisingly funny... and sets up The Avengers quite nicely. Rated: B+ Sep 11, 2017 Full Review Nick Pinkerton Village Voice As for the actual grand finale, Downey Jr. and Cheadle seem like they're already network gaming the PS3 release instead of facing any actual threat, and Rourke goes out like a chump. Apr 15, 2013 Full Review Cory Woodroof For the Win (USA Today) It’s a good film; flawed, sure, but we’ve missed this kind of effectively contained storytelling in these movies. Feb 27, 2024 Full Review Anushka Halve Film Companion This corridor fight sequence perfectly encapsulates the character's lethal efficiency, and adds a touch of flair to an already fantastic scene... Dec 11, 2023 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review The most extraordinary aspect of Iron Man 2 is how it brings together the film’s seemingly unending string of subplots, tightly confined inside a mere 2-hour runtime, and makes the process feel effortless. Obi-wan K Hella mid the villian feels so stale to me the way this movie continues gets mid and even more mid but at the end its fine Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/14/24 Full Review Daniel Henrique M It's very different from the first movie. The opening with Wiplash it doesn't make any sense. The alternative opening would work better. The villains are weak, it was easy to arrest Justin and Whiplash is defeated in 2 minutes. The first film didn't always have the same basis as the others, it was different. The second one uses the same basis, the hero fights once, loses, fights again, wins!! I confess I was disappointed with Colonel Rhodes for giving the Mark II without Tony's authorization, but he must have been crazy. Natalie Rushman/Natasha Romanoff is not that important, but she is a cool character and finally in the second one, we can see more importance with Happy Hogan. Most of the movie is kind of slow, but the scene in the senate and the last 30 minutes surprised me, because they were good! The definition of not bad, but not my favorite, defines this movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/11/24 Full Review Audience Member this movie struggles more than a little to be coherent, but nonetheless iron man 2 remains a really fun movie carried by reliably good performances and a good story. uneven, but really fun! 7.8/10 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/06/24 Full Review Professional D It is weaker than the first one but still better than the 3 one . Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/29/24 Full Review Muhammed a It was definitely a movie with beautiful and high-quality scenes. It was as good as the previous movie. The action scenes were of very high quality, but as an enemy, the enemy in this movie was much better. The scene where Tony Stark wears the new armor was also very high quality and beautiful. There was a scene where the Iron Man suits came together. It was good quality but better in terms of story. It could have been used as a better and more important movie in terms of subject matter, but apart from that, it is definitely watchable. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/22/24 Full Review Wendel L Direção: Bom Atuação: Ok Roteiro: Bom Caracterização: Ok Soundtrack: Bom Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews
