This film looks like something I could have made. The make up affects only seem affective some of the time. Later in the movie the plot devolves into the script of Ghost Ship. The dubbing make it interested watching some of the actors.

Even after 30+ years of making movies Bruno Mattei still rigidly adheres to the type of low budget schlock that was bad even in its heyday. And that's exactly why this movie is charming.
