Natalie is a New York architect who works hard to get noticed at her job, but is more likely to deliver coffee and bagels than design the city's next skyscraper. Things go from bad to weird when she gets knocked unconscious during a subway mugging and magically wakes up to find herself in an alternate universe. The trick here is a delicate balance: Being smart without showing off, being ironic without getting mean; being funny without getting too esoteric or simplistic, and never lingering on one scene for too long or wearing out your welcome.

Rebel Wilson takes center stage in her first real lead role in Isn’t It Romantic, a charming (some may say “beguiling”), sometimes quite clever, and ultimately pointless comedy because of its lack of conviction in seeing its message all the way through.

The first rom com that breaks and calls out all of the cliches of normal rom coms. In fact, at times it was cringy on how they called out the cliches

I genuinely can't understand why this movie has a 70% rating. It tries to poke fun at the played out rom-com staples but it falls just short on every one. The cast is made up of a bunch of stars that I like. But the script fell significantly short.
