Audience Member This SXSW09 pick follows two young ladies through a summer trip to Costa Rica. Shot like a reverie, with long undisturbed scenes of moving countryside and balmy summer days. Gently explores female friendship with natural, documentary-esque conversations casually weaved throughout this largely visual film. A mood-perfect score by Orange Mighty Trio complements the cinematography well, accenting the sun and light play, natural beauty, and youthful softness that fills each frame. This was not a movie of heavy substance, but it was a movie of lasting impression, with the memory of it playing back in my mind like blurred feelings of longing, contentment, togetherness, and simple pleasure. The emotional caress of this film was feather light, but deeply felt. Recommended. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
