Aramide Tinubu Shadow and Act If you take Jacqueline (Argentine) for what it is, it can be quite a bit of fun. Director Britto is able to deliver a comedic thriller in what appears to be a documentary, which I don't think I've ever seen done successfully before. Apr 12, 2017 Full Review Boyd van Hoeij Hollywood Reporter Part of the problem of Jacqueline (Argentine) is that it wants to be a film of many layers but Britto doesn't have the know-how to keep each layer legible separately. Oct 18, 2016 Full Review Ben Kenigsberg Variety Gets points for originality but quickly succumbs to terminal self-amusement. Oct 18, 2016 Full Review Amber Wilkinson Eye for Film Britto is, essentially, targeting only low-hanging fruit. Rated: 2/5 Oct 27, 2016 Full Review Rodrigo Perez The Playlist The movie's own self-doubts about life and art may have arrived for too late for the average viewer, though it's this questioning and dreamy conclusion that actually binds Jacqueline (Argentina) and give it some small satisfactions. Rated: C+ Oct 18, 2016 Full Review Scott Renshaw Salt Lake City Weekly Almost profound in its rambling search for a point. Rated: 3.5/4 Jan 31, 2016 Full Review Read all reviews
