Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) Directed by Russian Doll spitfire Natasha Lyonne, Get on Your Knees draws its vitality from Novak’s performance -- she strides, skips, and spins across the stage, carrying the microphone cord across her shoulder with a palpable energy in her delivery. Rated: 4/5 Feb 2, 2024 Full Review Liz Shannon Miller Consequence Novak delivers a marathon of words that does, eventually, culminate in her reveling in the power she feels she attains through the blowjob. Jan 25, 2024 Full Review Tara Ariano Cracked It diminishes Get on Your Knees to compare it to any of Netflix’s worst specials starring male comics. But good comedy on the platform only makes the bad comedy look worse. Aug 28, 2024 Full Review Sean L. McCarthy Decider This is the Sex Ed Talk generations of women wish they could’ve received, even better than what Novak jokingly refers to as “diagonal learning” from an older female acquaintance. This is over the top, on the up and up, and oh so funny. Jan 26, 2024 Full Review Ready Steady Cut Staff Ready Steady Cut Jacqueline Novak: Get on Your Knees is the first great piece of art of 2024. f b High energy towards tired old subjects. A complaint against the world delivered in a fashion that only a few might empathize with. Difficult to understand at times as it was garbled. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/20/24 Full Review John H A remarkably scholarly treatment of an R-rated subject. Reminds me of Where Words Prevail as the play comes from pacing the stage. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/03/24 Full Review Linda R Hilarious, brilliant and exhausting! What a performance. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Spencer H It was a rant that seemed like she thought her jokes were hilarious and the audience not so much. Some say it's intellectual and art forms, I say if I was looking for those it shouldnt have been categorized as stand up comedy. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/24 Full Review D C Brilliant take on what some might consider a taboo subject. Delicately handled. A compelling performance. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review William O Oh that language and she uses one of the c*** words a lot🤪🤣 Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/24 Full Review Read all reviews
