Blobbo X The guy twiddling away on his guitar ... had he even seen the movie? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/25/24 Full Review Jack B Simply awful on every level. Lyle Talbot either lost a bet or had bills to pay. He seems to be the only genuine actor in the movie. Ed Wood's reputation for making terrible movies gets another notch in his belt for this. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/16/23 Full Review Audience Member The only enjoyable element in any Ed Wood turkey is if every aspect is abysmal. Unfortunately, this extremely boring crime melodrama doesn't even have those qualities. The stiff acting and lamentable dialogue is only made worse by the semblance of a plot and an incredibly annoying guitar and piano score which plays throughout. Don't make the mistake of viewing this unless you need an early night. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review dave s Starting with the positive, Ed Wood's Jail Bait is much better than his earlier effort Glen or Glenda and…well…it's in focus. That being said, Jail Bait is horrible from start to finish. Dolores Fuller proves that she might be the worst actress to ever grace the screen, the annoying and mostly unnecessary score sounds like it's from a Sergio Leone western, the lighting is ridiculous, the sets are as cheap as you would expect, the dialogue is laughable, and the plot is about as absurd as you could imagine. Just when think things can't get much worse, the ‘twist' at the end is probably the most ludicrous scenario one could imagine. And to add salt to the wound, Wood feels the need to throw in a racist and irrelevant blackface vaudeville routine to top things off. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Film noir done in Ed Wood's inimitable style. Written in collaboration with Alex Gordon, who co-wrote Bride of the Monster, this, unlike most Ed Wood films, has a pretty decent storyline and features a nice twist at the end. '50s pulp fiction which is far more enjoyable that many films which have vastly greater budgets and greater talent involved.
