I really liked the first 10 minutes, but after that, things get ridiculous. It makes no logical sense, and I have no idea how Jason is alive after the last movie, but I guess none of that matters. My biggest issue is that Jason isn't really in the movie. It's his spirit taking over people. I actually like the idea, but this is a Jason movie. I want Jason! The movie is bloody, explosive, and completely over the top. The cheesy 90s action music is ridiculous and kind of annoying. The tent scene is absolutely wild. Also, why are they in Ohio? I honestly lost interest halfway through. If Jason was actually in the movie, I think I would have enjoyed it much more. This might be the worst one in the series for me. See more Churc H @RT15677948 Aug 6, 2026 This is definitely one of the most divisive films I’ve seen. Everyone either loves it or hates it, with little to no in between. I’m one of those in between people. This movie works for what it is, and I appreciate them for wanting to try something new. Every Friday until this had a pretty similar premise, Jason, horny teens, and gore. This movie obviously has that too, what Friday doesn’t, but the whole possession idea is kinda neat in my eyes. It could’ve worked out better than it did, but i think it’s fine. Jason’s design at the beginning and end of the film is killer, up there as one of the best. This movie also has some amazing kills! Definitely the best in the franchise for me. This movie is dragged down by the fact Jason isn’t really here, but I think this would be up there as one of the best Fridays if the writing was a bit better and we got to see more Jason on screen. A bounty hunter reveals that Jason can only be truly destroyed by a blood relative using a magical dagger. The film culminates with Jason being dragged down to hell, capped off by a final teaser where Freddy Krueger's clawed glove pulls Jason's mask into the dirt. The final frame serves as an incredible, iconic teaser for Freddy vs. Jason. A highly confusing mess of a plot that completely discards franchise lore. Jason spends almost the entire movie disguised as random people rather than appearing in his iconic form, and the actual "hell" aspect of the title is relegated entirely to the last ten minutes of the film.
