Thomason & Whitcomb let the film unfold with a simple grace that recalls the early works of Errol Morris and the Maysles. There's a subtle sadness with the occasional laugh, but ultimately it feels like real life and that is something worth remembering.

Jasper Mall is like the Titanic, you know its going down. However, you want to know how the people are doing inside. As we find out they aren't doing well. But that is why we watch isn't it? Spoiler Alert: Not everyone dies in this film, just one.

In the last few years we've seen activist documentaries that flood the viewer with information, many of which are great, but Jasper Mall allows you to slow down and simply enjoy beautiful scenes, captured in a candid style, and edited with a sense of humor. Stripped of all the tricks and gimmicks of reality TV, this is raw and captivating.

Excellent. Very close to E. Morris level doc. Have to admit to feeling a little heartache here. Malls were never all THAT bad, were they? You could pal around with friends, chase girls, people watch and get an Orange Julius. Try getting any pleasure out of that at Walmart or even Costco.

If you're contemplating suicide don't watch this movie. All you want is for it to be over with. I could only take 10 minutes of this before I had to end it. The movie that is. It's not a history of the mall/s throughout the decades, it's watching a security guard open the mall, shop owners open stores, old people walking, old people playing dominoes, flower shop owner talking to a customer. Its nothing that would pertain to creating an interesting or intriguing story about the Jasper Mall. It's literally as if I walked into a mall and sat down on a bench. What crazy person thought this movie was a good idea?
