Aparita Bhandari Globe and Mail A breezy dramedy that delivers some laughs at the beginning, Jawaani Jaanmen is let down by a tired script that doesn't deliver enough of an emotional punch at the end. Rated: 2.5/4 Feb 7, 2020 Full Review Udita Jhunjhunwala Firstpost A side-plot about a housing redevelopment project does not fit in smoothly but otherwise, Kakkar steers clear of chest-thumping melodrama and old-school moralising. Rated: 3/5 Feb 5, 2020 Full Review Anupama Chopra Film Companion The laughs aren't frequent enough and the emotions don't deepen until the second hour... Feb 5, 2020 Full Review Saibal Chatterjee NDTV Saif will draw you into Jawaani Jaaneman. Alaya will keep you glued even when the pace of the film seems to flag a bit. Rated: 3/5 Jul 14, 2020 Full Review Stutee Ghosh The Quint As a father-daughter love story there is enough spunk in it to warrant a viewing. There is a newness with which this love story is tackled, and though there are times when the narrative slumps it still has its heartwarming moments . Rated: 3/5 Jul 11, 2020 Full Review Prathyush Parasuraman Film Companion It's well-acted, well-intended, but the shoddy writing labours the film... Feb 5, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Sarthak B I have always had a soft spot for saif ali khan as the actor in films but he generally gets overlooked due to other actors being better than him. and in this film, saif ali khan is doing what he does best. playing a spoiled rich kid with a quirky sense of humour who eventually finds his way in life is a treat to watch no matter how many times he does it because he has this innate charm in him. some of my favourite performances of his are Go Goa Gone, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Love Aaj Kal, Race, Cocktail, Omkara, Dil Chahta Hai, Sacred Games, Laal Kaptaan and Tanhaji. I think he's always been good, he just needs to be paid attention towards. so, this film is about a Jazz who lives life to the fullest and has a certain dislike towards having a family. his life takes a 360 full turn he finds out that he has a grown-up daughter who's pregnant with a child and has to decide whether to provide for her or not and taking the responsibilities along with it whilst managing his own freedom and business life. the plot is simple and linear at best. the twists and turns are predictable and nothing we haven't seen before. there isn't anything innovative except for a couple situations created due to several events in the film which were for comedic purposes and they do actually manage to get a few laughs. the acting is the strongest point of the film. saif just kills it here. no cap, if the same lines were being delivered by some other actor, they wouldn't have been as funny as they are in the film. alaya f is also quite good in the film and manages to make a mark for herself. she actually stands out from her other peer debutants who were average at best. then there's tabu, i don't have anything to say about her, just enjoy that wild and carefree avatar of hers. music is also quite good. the opening song sets the mood and tone of a light-hearted comedy quite well. perfectly establishes what you're stepping in for. overall, an enjoyable weekend watch with quite good performances and getting some feel-good vibes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/11/23 Full Review Audience Member 9/10 Fantastic movie!! Saif and Alaia F. are such a charmer; This movie is absolutely worth your time and i'm watching it again. Thank you! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review yash b "Jawaani Jaaneman" is not the first dramedy of its kind, but it is a decent one that is fairly harmless. The movie's story isn't very engaging since similar movies have been done before, but I still thought it was light and funny. The movie is meant to be warmhearted and enjoyable fun, which is I think it succeeds in at least some aspects. Overall, this movie won't change your life, but I think it is a decent way to kill some time and check out one time. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Ok not much interesting What i'm aspected, its totally Flat comment.
