While some familiarity with the previous films of Kevin Smith will help the viewer get all the jokes in this film, this is a wildly entertaining stoner, buddy, road trip comedy about Jay and Silent Bob, two New Jersey characters, who go to Hollywood in a quest to get some of the money that’s being made off their likenesses in a film. The movie is full of cameos, rude humour, foul-mouthed soliloquies, inside jokes, and a whole bunch of elements that somehow gel together in a great comedy adventure.
