Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Rated: 2.5/5 Dec 7, 2007 Full Review Boyd van Hoeij european-films.net This quintessentially French item mistakes silence for profundity and has a strangely uneven performance by Patrick Chesnais at its centre. Jul 13, 2007 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I'm a huge fan of French films in general. French might make the best films in the whole world and this movie is a fine example of that. Storytelling can be done perfectly well without special effects, without too many actors or even without too many words. Sometimes less is more. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Very touching, melancholy and also funny movie. Style resembles Kaurismäki movies. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member although the whole story isn't surprising but there are still some points gripped my heart. such as when the old father died and he realized that he loves him deeper than he imagined...that touched me. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This minimalistic French film managed to surprise me in a good way. Nothing groundbreaking here, but a delightful, well written, well acted little thing nonetheless. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Anne Consigny is great. It was well made and, well, very French. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member You can see with your darling! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
