Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com Simple, comfortable in its limited storytelling goals, with Barron looking to replicate a specific feeling of awakening hormones and new encounters, and he manages to do so with unsettling authenticity at times. But Jeremy is also an awkward movie rather than one that simply dramatizes awkwardness. Nov 20, 2003 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A very young Robby Benson stars as Jeremy in a film with nothing going for it by Arthur Barron He's at a conservatory school for musicians in Manhattan Jeremy wants to continue honing his music talent even with both his parents absent Then he meets freshman ballerina Susan played by newcomer Glynnis O' Connor From then on they start dating and form a romance Both Jeremy and Susan start transforming in many respects Susan is unsure of herself which would explain her lack of friends and Jeremy tries to do several things at once, he knows who he'd like to be not what his parents want This is a very sweet and innocent romance story seeing these two gently developing something special The storytelling seems limited but simple enough to tell a small story of this magnitude Definitely covers the highs and lows of being young If only the ending wasn't so sad But you have to commend them for capturing teen insecurities and confusion First time love is amazing for us when we are young but also comes with the hurt is what we expect Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/15/24 Full Review Audience Member A very young Robby Benson stars as Jeremy in a film with nothing going for it by Arthur Barron He's at a conservatory school for musicians in Manhattan Jeremy wants to continue honing his music talent even with both his parents absent Then he meets freshman ballerina Susan played by newcomer Glynnis O' Connor From then on they start dating and form a romance Both Jeremy and Susan start transforming in many respects Susan is unsure of herself which would explain her lack of friends and Jeremy tries to do several things at once, he knows who he'd like to be not what his parents want This is a very sweet and innocent romance story seeing these two gently developing something special The storytelling seems limited but simple enough to tell a small story of this magnitude Definitely covers the highs and lows of being young If only the ending wasn't so sad But you have to commend them for capturing teen insecurities and confusion First time love is amazing for us when we are young but also comes with the hurt is what we expect Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/15/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a beautiful movie from an age of innocence long gone. For those who were young in the 1970's it is a reminder of highschool love and loss. A charming movie with a lovely sound track. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member i loved this movie it was touching and romantic Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member (** 1/2): Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Really slow all the way through but if you can sit & wait then it's most definitely worth it.Benson & O' Connor had some real chemistry together. My only problem with movies like this are the endings because they usually don't turn out the way I hoped.Jeremy didn't turn out the way I had hoped either but for some reason it didn't bother me as much as it normally does.It was a very good movie & I would've ranked it higher if it only had a better ending Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
