Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle Nonprofessional Martn Castro is terrific as the young Jeremas: sweet and engaging, yet kind of obnoxious. He has a natural screen presence. Rated: 3/5 Oct 27, 2016 Full Review Louisa Moore Screen Zealots A heartwarming and funny film from director Anwar Safa, whose style pays homage to Wes Anderson without ever feeling like a copycat. Rated: 4/5 Dec 20, 2018 Full Review Ernesto Diezmartinez Cine Vértigo The script by Ana Sofa Clerici uses, smartly, some notes from classic Mexican cinema, without abusing melodramatic aspects that could affect the film. Daniel G How not to love this movie of a discovery of a childe genius in a very regular Mexican family and about his auto-discovery and the path to become almost like a circus attraction. His question is that of any other child or teen and of many an adult - so, what can I do in life? And often the answer is closer to home. Wonderful variety of characters, some deeper, others just cardboard, with special mention to the old Spanish bookstore owner. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/05/24 Full Review Audience Member Una agradable película mexicana que es entretenida y divertida. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A GREAT GREAT MEXICAN MOVIE THAT LEARNS A LOT OF THINGS ABOUT A CHILD GENIUS AND A FAMILY VERY IGNORANT . VERY VERY GOOD!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie! I thought it was mainly about the Sonoran "culture", but it actually has a deeper message. Worth watching it. Muy buena pelicula. Crei que era mas comedia acerca de la "cultura" Sonorense, pero tiene un muy buen mensaje para todos. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
