Critics Consensus

Jeruzalem's setting adds an interesting twist to this found-footage horror outing, even if the end result is still somewhat pedestrian.

Old Jerusalem isn't often glimpsed on the big screen, though it's a shame that, in this case, it simply serves as the backdrop to some rampaging CGI demons and half-baked theology about the gates of hell. Go to Full Review

The more desperate the characters' flight becomes, the less interesting the movie grows. Go to Full Review

If not for its setting, the Israeli horror film Jeruzalem would be just another video verite, found-footage, would-be scarefest with little to make it unique...There's just not much scare there. Go to Full Review

An ambling tour of Israel’s capital, JeruZalem fumbles along as its selfish characters lose focus on the plotlines they once seemed so interested in, and the film begins to crumble like its focal city. Go to Full Review

Everything is bumpy-jumpy which is quite exciting when giant winged gargoyles are plaguing them, less so when they are sitting by the pool. Go to Full Review

There is a lot of good stuff here, and the Biblical elements give it some much-needed edge, but in the end it's simultaneously too much and not enough. Go to Full Review

Jen H. @Nifer01 Nov 7 Enjoyed, especially the intricacies of the cultural and setting aspects. Wish we had more pieces that were set in unique locations. See more Tom S Oct 3 Had it's moments in later half due to very cool location and cultural differences but nearly ruined by annoying bleating of actress holding the camera. Should have given it to the other girl or guy who weren't losing their shite every 5 seconds. See more Riley N. @KMFDMSUCKS Jul 19 It was okay but my problem was the main character Sarah was very dumb and always had the wrong decision leading up to hear death at the end. Fun time though. See more Rey R Jul 17 Just finished watching ‘Jeruzalem’ (2015), and it was one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had in a while. The main character, Sarah, made one baffling decision after another. For instance, when her best friend got bitten by a zombie, instead of listening to the soldier and her love interest, who both recommended a merciful end, she decided to keep her friend alive. Predictably, her friend turned into a zombie and ended up attacking and killing one of the soldiers who was trying to help. It’s like watching someone run into a burning building and then blaming the firefighters for not following them inside. Overall, her decisions dragged the movie down and left me more annoyed than entertained. If you want a horror film that leaves you frustrated rather than thrilled, this one’s for you. Otherwise, definitely skip it! See more Stoner J @Stoner Jul 6 Not as good as other found footage movies but pretty entertaining. It’s an interesting twist combining found footage with Armageddon in Jerusalem. The CGI is really weak but pretty much the rest is done well. See more Kiran F Feb 10 The location and concept are interesting. The main character is deeply difficult to care about or listen to... And since all of the sounds footage is connected to her... It makes the rest of the movie, unfortunately difficult to experience See more Read all reviews
