Deep within each human soul, there exists an intense craving for connection, purpose, and love -- a thirst that only God can satisfy. Yet, the question remains: How does one fulfill this yearning? The Catholic Church teaches that the Eucharist is the most profound means by which God shares Himself with humanity. However, a 2019 Pew Research Study unveiled a concerning reality: only one-third of practicing U.S. Catholics believe in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. In Jesus Thirsts: The Miracle of the Eucharist, we embark on a global journey to rediscover and revive the transformative power of the Eucharist. Engaging in dialogue with notable Catholic figures, the film explores the biblical origins of the Eucharist and shares personal stories of individuals whose lives have been transformed by the Blessed Sacrament. This exploration makes it unmistakably clear that the Eucharist is not merely a symbol, but is indeed Jesus Christ Himself -- fervently desiring to quench our spiritual thirst with His boundless love.

Edgar A An inspiring movie on the Catholic faith. A must watch for Catholics and non Catholics. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/15/24 Full Review Peter I LOVED the movie so much it got me fired up!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/02/24 Full Review Andrea G Beautiful explanation of the Eucharist - the source and summit! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/29/24 Full Review Mary I loved that they were able to show the real presence, not just by the tissue shown using the electron microscope but also by showing the blood of Jesus flowing inside the living tissue. I didnt like that much of the movie did not have sub titles for the portion that was in Spanish. When in another language, the same information should be repeated in English. At least, subtitles should be shown when the scene is in another language. Especially in the aforementioned scene of Jesus blood actively flowin in living tissue. I t is OK to repeat the same information in a second language, especially in a documentary. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/28/24 Full Review Natalie Kigerl Really informative and inspirational about the Eucharist. Amazing to see this in regular theatre. I would have liked to see more advertising on billboards, theatre markee and TV. It seems in my area it was word of mouth only, and EVERYONE should have the opportunity to know it was playing. I loved it- saw it 3 times and spread the word to as many people as I was able. Hope it will be available to stream. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/26/24 Full Review REGINA Really interesting and moving. It was a challenge to read the names and credentials og the speakers and the clised captions. There was not enough time to do so. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/25/24 Full Review Read all reviews
