Anupama Chopra Hollywood Reporter A Fabulously Fierce Alia Bhatt Anchors a Beautifully Crafted but Narratively Uneven Hindi Thriller Oct 22, 2024 Full Review Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Alia Bhatt’s performances usually have at least a couple of distinctive notes. Here, badass replacing vulnerability, those edges are blunted. Jigra becomes a stretch, of both patience and credulity. Rated: 2/5 Oct 15, 2024 Full Review Proma Khosla indieWire Jigra is, for the most part, a balm to modern mindless masala cinema, with a creative and compelling narrative that it actually sees through, on the shoulders of a killer cast. Rated: B- Oct 14, 2024 Full Review Shikhar Verma High on Films The pacing is lackluster, the characters only work on paper, and the twists and turns are not rigged in any kind of suspense or tension that will make you want to be constantly engaged in it. Rated: 2/5 Oct 25, 2024 Full Review Rohan Naahar The Indian Express Vasan Bala has cracked the code in Jigra — a film that pulls off the almost impossibly difficult feat of getting you, the viewer, to participate in the grandest act of collective empathy crafted on a Bollywood screen this year. Oct 16, 2024 Full Review Lachmi Deb Roy Firstpost The only negative in the film is the first part which is a bit of a stretch, otherwise the second half is fast-paced, engaging and immersive. Mohit S Alia has improved a lot. The role that needs in this film is something that doesn’t meant for Alia. She is still a girl and does not come as a strong force or someone that can break prison. While I was not expecting much, first half was still ok and was interesting to watch, but second half was unwatchable. Just no direction, going all over the place and some scene doesn’t make sense. Movie was stretched to an extent that it seems director has no clue what to do next or how to finish the movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 10/20/24 Full Review Chetan S Pace of the movie was good but there was no expression acting which was new for Alia. But honestly, Karan and Alia needs to sit together professionally and discuss such stupid acts going forward as this can ruin their careers Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review Chaitanya Parikh U It's definitely a good one time watch. Alia Bhatt on her top game. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review Ravil D Alia Bhatt is #BADASS. She has become a very versatile actress! I loved the storyline - not your typical desi movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/19/24 Full Review Sanjog Some of the actions scenes are ok. Great story Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/17/24 Full Review muhammad m Good movie, good action, well acted Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/16/24 Full Review Read all reviews
