While not a die-hard musical fan, I found this film to be an intriguing watch. It wasn't groundbreaking enough for Oscars, nor did it delve deep into sentimentality like the notebook. Instead, it provided a window into Jennifer Lopez's highly publicized love life through an her artistic lens. Despite not being a huge fan of her, I respect her openness and willingness to explore her quest for love on screen (with a twist of humor.) definitely worth a watch, if you have some free time.

A visible improvement over 2016's "Freedumb", "This Is Me Now" gets its title from a joke on vomiting and shitting, and, simply put, I'm glad this is him now. Of course, sociopolitical bits are one of his strengths and there's several really well-written ones to be found herein, the overall verdict being that Jefferies manages to get through a very funny, thematically varied 1-hour-plus gig without making many quality dips and with a confident delivery that makes the show all the more enjoyable.
