Tomris Laffly Elle May 28
An adoring celebration of queer culture and a spoofy critique of internet fame, Jim Queen is strictly for grown-ups who don’t need polite jokes to laugh with and at its lovable characters. It’s a riot. Go to Full Review
Guy Lodge Variety May 26
A short, concentrated barrage of jokes good, bad and both, fired with enough energy and gee to keep a spirit of hilarity afloat throughout. Go to Full Review

Bella S @RT96148437 Jun 30 The film is exclusionary and relies on harmful stereotypes. Despite presenting itself as queer, it focuses almost exclusively on white gay men, sidelines women, ignores trans men, and reduces people with vaginas to women. Female characters are objectified, with sexual harassment played for humour or quickly dismissed. The portrayal of children, some appearing disabled, is grotesque and reinforces ableist stereotypes. The only powerful older woman is the villain, reinforcing sexist tropes, and her final scene is degrading as she is upskirted. Drug users are depicted as less than human rather than victims of addiction. The ending romanticises prostitution, with Lucien effectively exploited for others' benefit while Jim profits, reinforcing regressive "twink" stereotypes. Ultimately, the characters remain shallow, hypersexualised, and unchanged, making the film feel both dated and thematically hollow. This film could be triggering for those who have been SAed or r@9ed. See more Julien B @RT74609345 Jun 22 We laughed so hard this is just so light and fun.
