Nathan Rabin AV Club At an egregious 106 minutes, Joe Dirt 2 feels like a director's cut where every single moment of footage was carefully preserved, no matter how pointless or unfunny or digressive it might be. Rated: D- Jul 22, 2015 Full Review Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com Sometimes the cast doesn't seem so sure it's a real movie, and, especially for the first act, it feels like they shot everything in one take, and left them all in the movie. Maybe they were afraid to yell cut. Rated: 1/4 Jul 16, 2015 Full Review Brent McKnight CinemaBlend I have a deep, possibly indefensible love for Joe Dirt. But, 14 years later, this did not need to happen by any stretch of the imagination. Rated: 1.5/5 Aug 16, 2017 Full Review Adam DiLeo IGN Movies Anyone who enjoyed the original will enjoy spending a little more time with Joe and his band of merry weirdos. Rated: 6/10 Aug 16, 2017 Full Review JimmyO JoBlo's Movie Network JOE DIRT 2: BEAUTIFUL LOSER is not a good film. In fact, it is utterly terrible. Rated: 1/10 Jul 24, 2015 Full Review Josh Bell Las Vegas Weekly You'd think that after 14 years, they'd have more than stale fart jokes and weak callbacks to bits that weren't funny in the first place. alan g How did this movie get made. The first one terrible this one is worse. I would say it is a waste of talent but there is none. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/05/24 Full Review GojiFan- 0 Would've been five stars if there weren't penis girls on the train. The movie of all time. Never been so invested in my life. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/30/23 Full Review M R This movie was bad. The first one was charming and will probably grow into a comedy classic someday. This one was a waste and so lazy... This was an attempt at a cash grab that deserved to fail. I normally recall redeeming qualities in films, but this one had none from what I can remember. I am curious to see it again, but am dreading the rewatch at the same time. My grade should probably be lower but I got mad love for David Spade and the first film. Grade: 55/100 F Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 08/20/23 Full Review Brandon B A movie destined for Mistry Masterpiece Theater 3000. bad, very bad, not good. David spade should issue a public apology if he hasn't already. JD1 is one of my favorite movies. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Absolutely terrible! I loved the original but this is utter rubbish. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Fantasy K Often sequels will try to recreate what made the original film so special. In Joe Dirt 2 it feels like the film just rips off the first movie by making many of the same jokes delivered in a lazier manner all during a time traveling plot that isn't worth keeping up with. The strangest thing of the 2015 film is that its told on a bus bench, mimicking Tom Hank's Forrest Gump, a movie taking place over 20 years earlier in 1994 . Joe Dirt 2 also briefly has a bubba gump alike character from Forrest Gump, as well as several reappearances from actors from the first Joe Dirt film such as Christopher Walken and Dennis Miller replaying their roles and jokes . Time would be better spent watching Joe Dirt or Forrest Gump rather than this mashed up version of the 2. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/04/22 Full Review Read all reviews
