John Henry as a movie does not live up to the iconic folk hero's name. Although we love Terry Crews wielding a sledgehammer and flashes of craft, the movie is a mess. This hammers home the need for suspense and a solid backstory.

This film should have been so much better...it was a great idea for a story but it got caught up trying to be something it isnt....it had a great soundtrack but in the end didnt deliver when it should have done

Seeing Terry Crews in a serious role is awesome. Loved the movie. I would advise to watch it with an open mind...don't look for a John Wick feel....just watch it and give it time. You will enjoy it
