Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express [Sriram] Raghavan nails the grimy, grotty feel of a James Hadley Chase novel, where everyone is is either bad, greedy, villainous, plain amoral, or simply, a combination of all of the above. May 24, 2019 Full Review Namrata Joshi Outlook Mukesh is well cast in the lead role, handsome and reptilian at the same time. But it's characters on the side-Zakir Husain, Ashwini Kalsekar and Vinay Pathak-who steal the show. Rated: 3/4 Jan 25, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Priyan B Some cliche scenes in the first half but second half was a payoff 7.5/10 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/12/24 Full Review Audience Member An edge of the seat suspense. The screenplay is pacy and along with the sleek camera work and performance one can say that this is one of the best Hindi movies of the 2000s. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member With interesting characters, adn a riveting screenplay, JOHNNY GADDAAR is the best adaptation of THE WHIFF OF MONEY by James Hadley Chase. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member The curse of Hindi Movie Industry are none other than its 'lazy' film makers. They are good at making some lame romantic movies with pointless songs and dances. But when it comes to making an action or a thriller, they spare their grey matter. All they do is to 'google' out the latest Hollywood flicks and find someone to translate the script. But Sriram Raghavan's Johnny Gaddaar is something exceptional, original, and a fabulous movie. Its a story of a series of fateful events among a gang of five men, partners of a gambling club when they go for some illegal quick money. The script was carefully crafted out and shot with a talented cast. The film don't play the usual 'Guess who' - game with you, but still good to give you the 'unexpected' at regular intervals. In short, it is an enjoyable treat. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Totally unpredictable !!
