While on a business trip to New York, Californian trader Oliver Hale (John Russell) meets and weds a young woman, Garnet (Joan Leslie), and the two leave for California. On their journey, they encounter a charismatic singer (Vera Ralston), who always finds trouble. Meanwhile, back home, Oliver's brother, Charles (Ray Middleton), has arranged a marriage between Oliver and a wealthy rancher's daughter. When Charles sends Oliver's friend (Forrest Tucker) to break the news, things go awry.

Audience Member Colorful, enjoyable western is a solid entertainment without being anything special. For a B movie the production values are pretty high, the acting is scattershot with Forrest Tucker and Pat O'Brien giving the best performances.
