Winston V Jumper is an underrated sci-fi gem that deserves way more credit than it gets. From the very first scene, it hooks you with the ultimate fantasy: teleportation. Imagine being able to go anywhere in the world instantly—this movie brings that dream to life with thrilling visuals and non-stop action. Hayden Christensen is great as David Rice, a relatable antihero who learns to bend the rules of space and time to his will. The cinematography is stunning, with fast-paced "jumps" that take you from snowy mountaintops to the heart of Rome in seconds. And let’s not forget Samuel L. Jackson, who brings serious intensity as the mysterious villain determined to stop jumpers for good. What makes Jumper stand out isn’t just the cool powers—it’s the feeling of freedom, rebellion, and living outside the system. It’s fun, smart, and filled with potential for an expanded universe. If you're into action, sci-fi, or just want a movie that feels like pure escape, Jumper is a must-watch. Ultimately it suffers, in my mind, a similar crappy storyline as Glass, a secret society that hunts down individuals with special abilities who this society deems “monsters” or “freaks” or any version of the word different. Griffin in this movie is a total creeper by the way, it’s like “Dude just approach the guy your watching and tell him who you are.” Darth Vader has the ability to “jump” (akak teleport) all over the world, which gains the attention of the secret society’s leader, Nick Fury. They interact a few times, with Darth Vader occasionally teleporting random people halfway across the planet as “punishment” for interfering with his life, it’s a real d*ck move. Also, when Vader leaves Millie behind, how does he not think “Oh, they’ll probably go after her,” I mean come on…. The movie is alright, but not terribly entertaining. I just don’t know how a normal person survives a bus being dropped on them, Nick Fury be damned. The jumping around the world at the end was cool. I didn’t expect Bella from Twilight to show up.
