Julian S @akajulianscott Aug 9 Davis swaps her trademark heat for elegance in this charming rom-com relic. See more Horror fan 4 Jun 24 A very funny movie about ex lovers. Bette Davis and Robert Montgomery were great and it was nice to see Debbie Reynolds first movie. Tim Treakle See more Steve D 06/07/2023 Cute but there isn't a lot to it. See more David K 05/27/2023 Robert Montgomery is one of those guys I wasn't familiar with when I was younger. He's well worth getting to know. Both he and Bette Davis excel in this film, which feels as though they needed to be in it for it to have any legs. Very much in the same vein as "The Man Who Came to Dinner" but not quite that good. Despite that, it's a very watchable film. The alleged fact that Davis and Montgomery didn't like each other, and Montgomery reportedly worked diligently to antagonize her throughout filming, seems to work to the film's advantage.
